First you need to check the ceiling. You need to do these in used and even in new mobile homes. It is better if you look at mobile homes after experiencing strong rains. If the roof has plenty of dark stains and if the roof looks like it will already fall apart, then you need to find another mobile home. However, if there are stains but is already dry, then you can be assured that the leaks are already fixed.

 

Next, you need to check the underbelly.  If the underbelly is sagging then probably there is a water leak.

Underbelly must be fully wrap and make sure that the insulation is fixed and not about to fall. You can actually remove the skirting so you can get a better look at the underbelly of the mobile home.

 

You also need to check the floor. If the floor feels like a sponge then it is usually wet and this can easily be rotten. If you are heavy enough, and there is a leak then the floor may not be quality. If this is the case then you should check the bathroom and the sink.

 

You need to check the plumbing of the mobile home. There are plenty of used mobile home with poor plumbing fixtures. Check if the fixtures if there are cracks or leaks. You also need to check the wiring of the mobile home. Aluminum wiring can be a fire hazard and can easily break. The mobile home should have copper wiring since it is safe.

 

Check the ventilation. Not having proper ventilation can provide different problems like stains on the walls or in the ceiling especially when the climate is cold. Shingled roofs is much better than metal roofs.  Choose a roof that extends so rain will fall on the ground and not in the walls, since it can really cause serious damage.
